The 2026 Monarch Joint Venture Virtual Partner Meeting Series will bring together professionals and organizations working across the United States and beyond to advance monarch and pollinator conservation. Through three interactive sessions - featuring large group sessions, panels, small group breakouts, and facilitated networking - participants will connect, share insights, and explore new opportunities for collaboration. Alongside the live meeting sessions, MJV will host a collection of pre-recorded lightning talks that highlight relevant projects, tools, and ideas that registrants can explore at their own pace.
Note that users will be prompted to create an account in order to register for and access the course.
Registration happens through the MJV Monarch NECTAR Hub, which requires a NECTAR Hub account (this is different from your Partner Portal account). If you’ve previously taken a course through the NECTAR Hub, you can use that same account; otherwise, you’ll create one as part of registering, which you can also use for future NECTAR Hub courses.
If You Are Registering YOURSELF:
When: The Virtual Partner Meeting Series will take place on alternating Wednesdays starting March 4, 2026.
Where: Hosted virtually via Zoom. Participants will register through the NECTAR Hub, MJV's online learning platform. Once registered, Zoom links will be sent by email and will also be accessible in the Hub.
Who: MJV partners, and any professionals from across North America engaged in monarch and pollinator conservation efforts, including professionals from science, education, community engagement, habitat management (including in energy and transportation rights-of-way and agriculture sectors), policy, government, and academic fields.
Call for Proposals: Each virtual session will include time in the large group for presentations and panels, followed by smaller, highly interactive breakout sessions led by MJV staff and partner organizations. There are two ways to contribute to the 2026 Virtual Partner Meeting Series: submitting a proposal for a live 45-minute breakout session or submitting a pre-recorded lightning talk. You may submit one proposal per format (one breakout session and/or one lightning talk). Breakout sessions will take place live during one of the three meetings, while lightning talks will be hosted in the NECTAR Hub for registrants to view anytime, giving your work ongoing visibility beyond the live sessions. For more information and to submit a proposal click here.
In 2026, instead of our usual in-person partner meeting co-hosted with the Rights-of-Way as Habitat Working Group (ROWHWG), we’re shifting to this virtual series that allows more partners to participate, share their work, and stay engaged throughout the year. Our full in-person partner meeting with ROWHWG will be back in Spring 2027 - more details coming soon!
