Monarch Larva Monitoring Project (MLMP) Training at Prairie Oaks

Be a community scientist with the Monarch Larva Monitoring Project (MLMP)! The MLMP team from MJV will lead this in-person one-day training on how to collect data that contributes to our knowledge about the monarch population. Participants learn about monarch biology, monitoring procedures, and data entry protocols, and are able to ask their questions about monarchs and monitoring.

Date and Time: Saturday, May 31 9:00am-3:30pm

There will be a break for lunch. Participants should bring a bag lunch. There are also a few restaurants in Belle Plaine.

Registrants will also gain access to our new MLMP Online Course offered at the Monarch NECTAR Hub at learn.monarchjointventure.org after the live training is completed. This will include videos on identifying milkweed and more.

Certificates of completion can be issued for teachers, Master Naturalists, Master Gardeners, etc. Please email learn@monarchjointventure.org after your course if one is needed.
